Make the dashboard a bit more yours*. The preferences page is where you can personalise the dashboard the way you want it.

Notifications

The dashboard can notify you when it thinks something has happened and needs your attention. These notifications work together with your operational system and it requires a modern browser (Google Chrome is preferred) with native notifications capabilities.

If you have not been asked for to allow notifications from the dashboard and want to get them, then you can press the button “ASK FOR NOTIFICATION PERMISSION”. If you have been asked and denied to allow notifications to be sent to your device you will see a NOT ALLOWED as the current status. If you are pressed the button and nothing happens it means you will have to reset the notifications permissions for the Zoopit’s dashboard, all these restrictions can make it a bit hard to understand, but that is in place to prevent any website you visit to spam you with hundreds of notifications.😉

Turning on/off

The first two options let’s you decide what kind of notifications you want to get. If you decided to toggle ON (the switch turns orange) then notifications will be sent to your operating system. The second lets you see the notifications within the dashboard pages. We recommend to turn both ON.

Turning on/off experimental push notifications

We are currently experimenting with push notifications. Push notifications means you do not need to have the dashboard opened (although we recommend) and get notifications for specific events. We recommend you to turn ON all notifications.

  • Missing-gps (only for carriers), if a courier is about to start or has a route in progress it is expected that his/hers device send us their GPS coordinates, if they have not send for the last 30 minutes we send the courier and us a warning.

  • Unassigned routes (only for carriers), imagine this scenario: a route is about to start but not courier has been assigned or accepted the route, so it is “FREE”, the system will let them know that the route needs a courier as soon as possible.

  • Likely delayed, if the system thinks the route is a close call of being delayed or it will be in fact delayed. We will warn before it happens.

  • Deviation, an order had a deviation, it could be that the customer was not home to receive the goods, or could not produce a valid identification and many other cases, immediately, the system will let you know.

  • Rescheduled orders, an order has been moved from one time slot to another.

  • New route, an new route has been created.

How to reset notifications?

Operating systems and browsers can vary a lot when it comes to notification settings and rules. Bellow, you will find a list with the most popular browsers and how to configure a website to send/block notifications.

Development environment

In programming terms, we create different environments (copies of the system). Environments help us separate what is real data from test (fake) data. For real data we call it production and for testing data we call it staging. Why do you need this? Well, let’s say you want to show someone how building routes works, but you do not want to do the changes in the real route. So you can change to staging and see just have all this done there and no one is affected because you are in the staging (testing) environment. Notice that you will need to have your user installed on staging as well, so if you select the staging envinroment and you can not login, please contact us either to create a testing user for you or to just switch you back to production.

Deliveries overview

The Simple overview (no map) option will make your deliveries overview to display differently, no more map! You only get the list of routes, sort of a underground, metro like map. Also you have three options of grouping routes:

  • Courier and pick-up location, routes will be put together by the courier that it is assigned to, then into their pick-up location and so by their delivery window

  • Courier and delivery window, routes will be put together by the courier that it is assigned to, then into their delivery window and finally by pick-up location.

  • Pick-up location and delivery window, routes are grouped by pick-location and by deliveries window.

Layout settings

Want to make some panels a bit wider? Larger fonts, change the dashboard theme?

Panels

If you want to have a bit more room in your routes, you can make the panels wider.

Font-size

Normal, large, x-large, no, you are not at Starbucks. But you can increase the dashboard’s font size to larger sizes.

Theme colour

The dashboard can be shown in two different themes, Light (default) and Dark themes. Give it a go which one you feel better with. You can also use a shortcut alt+T   to switch between themes anywhere in the dashboard.

Map options

  • Start the map on this location, where do you your deliveries overview map start?

  • Hide page header, this hides the page header on the Deliveries overview.

  • Hide route panels, this will hide the panels in the Deliveries overview.

  • Show traffic conditions, this will turn on/off traffic conditions in the map.

  • Zoom main map with mousewheel, if you are on desktop then you can make the map to zoom in/out with your mousewheel.

⚠️ *Preferences are saved locally in your browser. Meaning, if you open the dashboard on a different browser and/or in a different device the preferences need to be set again.
