The Exceptions log in the Statistics page have different types of exceptions, here are their explanation:

  1. Delivered before window started: when an order was delivered before the window started. It is important to deliver order when customers are expecting to receive their delivery. So, delivering earlier than the start of a delivery window could be considered as bad as delivering late.

  2. Delivered too late: a delayed delivery that happened 1 hour later (or more) than its promised delivery time. In some cases this can be the case that the courier failed to get a signature or tell the order has been delivered.

  3. Improper arrival registration: when the courier does not register his/hers arrival at the pick-up location by not scanning the QR code.

  4. Arrived too early at pick-up location: couriers that register their arrival earlier than 30 minutes before a delivery window starts will be put in the exception list. Retailers are expected to have orders ready for collection within those 30 minutes. So, arriving too early can lead to situations where a retailer might feel compelled to hurry up and in that case, forget some goods or produce another inconvenience that could have an unwanted effect in the delivery process.

  5. Arrived late at pick-up location: similarly of being too early at the pick-up location if a courier only register his/hers arrival after the delivery window has already started it will be added to the exceptions list.

  6. Not accounted for: if an order has not been marked (with a signature) as delivered, it will be considered not accounted for.
