When downloading the Zoopit Courier App you will be asked for permission to share:

  • Your location (GPS Position)

  • Camera (for scanning QR-code on parsell)

  • Notifications

  • Tracking

Follow the instructions appearing on the screen and you will be good to go. Bu be aware that there is also certain settings on your device that has to be set correctly. Since this settings varietes for different devises and models we advice you to lock into your providers official support or troubleshoot canal, or search on internet for specific problems on your device.

In the Zoopit Courier App, tracking works best if the GPS setting is set to "always allow".

If tracking is part of the retailer's product by e.g. online shopping, or that distributor's/transporter's follow-up and tracking of drivers should be possible, it will probably also be required that the settings be set to "always".

In addition, you must of course also "switch on" or "download":

This applies to both iPhone and Android devices, but may look different from device to device. Here it is recommended to look in the manufacturer's description of how functions interact and how to set this up correctly.

  • Background App Refresh

  • Mobile data - for push notifications etc.

  • Allow notifications / Allow notifications

  • Allow tracking/Allow tracking

  • Precise Position/ Precise Location

  • Download the Google Map App - and set this to standard/default.

  • Battery saving mode is switched off - can cut out GPS signals, push alerts and notifications

  • Some types of mobile phones do not allow voice and GPS at the same time, i.e. voice cuts out GPS signals.

How to give the Zoopit courier app permission to see the GPS Location of the courier who have been assigned to a route - or has accepted a delivery route in the Courier App.

Problem solving

It may be a good idea to search online for known problems with the type and model of mobile phone you wish to purchase.

Example of public website from suppliers:

- link to Apple - link: approve tracking

- link to Google for Android - link: approve tracking

Examples of pages that discuss GPS problems on smartphones:

Link: Forum on GPS problems for Android devices - why does my android phone keep losing GPS signal?

Search the internet - there are many good examples and videos on how to solve the problems.

Example on specific mobile brand and model:

Some Samsung Galaxy S21 users have experience problems with GPS

- Bare in mind that this can usually be fixed, but you may have to spend some time on how to set the settings correctly.

Remember there are setting for the Device (smartphone) e.g. camera and battery saving, and there are settings for App's - this setting interact.

Reporting problem with GPS on Android:

If you would like to report problem with GPS please provide following information to your driving manager:

  • which version of application you are using (Menu -> About -> Version)

  • what version of application is displayed in system settings (Settings -> Apps -> Courier -> Version Number)

  • what type of device is used (ex. Samsung Galaxy S21)

  • what version of system is used (Settings -> System -> System update -> Android version)
