Multi Window routes - means that you combine long route duration with shorter delivery windows (customer delivery promise). This means that you can combine the customer's wish for e.g. delivery within a specific time, while the carrier has the option of handling the delivery on a route with a longer duration.
Example: The carrier has routes with a long duration, e.g. from 08:00 to 15:00. However, the customers on route want their goods delivered between 08-10, 10-12, 12-13 and so on.
There are often many deliveries on a route and each individual customer may want the delivery to take place when they have the opportunity to receive the goods. Retailers can comply with this request by making available delivery windows in e.g. the online store - that will automatically be organized with different route duration as desired - e.g. 1, 2, 4 or 7 hour etc. for multi delivery windows throughout the day.
The Zoopit route engine will then organize all deliveries according to route duration, e.g. 08:00 to 15:00 in an optimized delivery sequence that takes care of the customer's desire for a delivery time (delivery promise), for example, one customer wants delivery between 10-12, and another wants delivery between 12-14 and so on. Which means that the carrier collects all the goods for the route by 08:00 (when starting route) and delivers to the customers according to the delivery sequence until the route duration ends at 15:00.
